P.J. CLARKE'S LINCOLN PARK
the lincoln park p.j. clarke's, one of the three chicago spots named for the famous manhattan watering hole, mirrors the vintage looks of the gold coast original and the streeterville outpost with red-checked tableclothes and a wood bar. the menu features comfort food faves from the original p.j.'s, meaning american standards such as burgers, ribs, chicken pot pie, and a lineup of entree-sized salads. NICOLE'S DIVINE CRACKERS
nicole's features artisan baked goods, including (you guessed it!) crackers. the all-natural, preservative-free specialty comes in a variety of flavor, including simply sumptuous salt, perfectly pepper, risky rye and crackin' good cheese. nicole's supplies them to high-end local restaurants and hotels in chicago and las vegas. the bakery offers grab-and-go pastries and coffee for commuters. SUNDA
the restaurant's name is a nod to the sunda shelf, a southeast asian landmass, and incorporates modern takes on dishes from throughout the region. a large chunk of the lineup is devoted to china and japan, but fare from other countries, including cambodia, vietnam, and thailand makes an appearance too. expect new asian dishes such as malay-style chilean sea bass, crab-crushed ahi tuna with japanese hot mustard-soy glaze, pork shank confit with garlic-foie gras gravy and watercress salad, and a couple of asian-inspired noodle dishes. there's also a full sushi bar. MARGIE'S
margie's has been sweet on fun since it opened in may 1921. the family business is one of the few places in chicago that still holds the charm of the "good old days." the homemade candles and chocolates are very popular, as is the wonderful selection of banana splits, sundaes, shakes and other fountain creations. the family is also very proud of the fact that they make their own ice cream. margie's also has a regular restaurant menu, but there is a danger of eating too much and not having room for dessert.
